My Hobbies
I am a musician...so I guess that qualifies me as one of
those creative, artsy, eccentric,
think outside of the....realm of natural thinking.
Things that I "dig": gardening, cooking, entertaining friends and
family, sewing, scrap booking, crafting, teaching, computing, going to movies with Dan on the weekends, and a glass of wine on the screen
porch!
We're an adventurous lot, Dan and Michael climbed and summited Mt. Kilimanjaro when Michael was 15.
Dan runs Marathons, and I cheer him
on.
Dan and Matthew went big game hunting in South Africa, and we
have several "trophies" in route to our house. Wonder where that wort hog and Wilda beast are gonna fit in with my traditional furniture. (I keep
thinking garage, or back yard....but I have a feeling I won't win that discussion!
) We love to travel.

It is WONDERFUL to be wife of Dan for 23 years ( we were pen pals).
It is a PRIVILEGE to be mom of 2 great sons (eldest is a new Marine).

This whole site is very new to me, not sure how it all works, but I thought I would jump in and try to figure it out! I am very interested in connecting with other Marine Families/loved ones, and learning from you all! Our son arrived at SOI yesterday, I don't even know what company he is in.
I have a private music studio in our home, and have students that come to me for private study...the first student just arrived! Gotta go!

Guess what, I drove by your house (or thru your area) when driving to AND from Harrisburg, PA to visit Bobby at Camp Pendleton, CA this past April/May. Did you see me waiving as we blew by going 85 mph? That was the 1st time I was thru your beautiful state.
You say SOI on your site. Is he is infantry? If so, he would be at ITB "Infantry Training Battalion." When Bobby was there they were out in the field mostly all week and then back to the barracks for the weekend. He went during the Nov thru Jan time. Cold, damp and not pleasant to say the least!
